Kobe’s High School Coach Picks Him Over Michael Jordan One-On-One

Bryant talks with Jordan

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are considered two of the greatest players in NBA history. With Bryant heading into what will likely be the final two years of his Hall of Fame-caliber career, there is still debate on who would win one-on-one in their primes.

In an exclusive interview with Coach Dave Miller, Kobe’s former high school coach talked about the matchup and picked the five-time champion:

I mean that would be a heck of a matchup. I’m maybe a little bit biased, but I guess I certainly take my guy (Kobe) in that situation.

Last season, Jordan actually spoke about playing one-on-one with today’s stars and said he doesn’t think he would lose to any player except for possibly Kobe during his prime. Of course, Jordan also mentioned that Kobe has stolen all of his moves.

With Bryant signed for two more seasons and the Lakers’ 0-5 start, many have begun to compare his situation to Jordan’s when he made his return to the Washington Wizards at age 38. While Jordan averaged at least 20 points, the Wizards failed to make the playoffs in his final two seasons of his career.
