Lakers News: D’angelo Russell Makes Appearance At Rams’ Preseason Game

After a 20-year absence, the NFL has finally returned to the city of Los Angeles. Although it is only the preseason for the Los Angeles Rams, rookie Jared Goff and company have drawn enormous crowds in their first two games. Along with some die-hard fans, a few celebrities and professional athletes have been seen at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. D’Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers made his first appearance at the Coliseum on Saturday when the Rams faced off against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs.

Our staff writer Alan Huerta caught a glimpse of the Lakers guard on the big screen at the L.A. Coliseum on Saturday:

D’Angelo, like many of his Lakers teammates, has been hard at work trying improve his game and his image this summer. Russell’s rookie campaign came to an end in disappointing fashion due to the incident with Nick Young and his lack consistency on the basketball floor.

D’Angelo Russell appears to be taking a different approach to his preparation this summer and has already received rave reviews from the new coaching staff as well as the recently retired Kobe Bryant. D’Angelo is seemingly determined to turn things around and is going about it the right way as the start of the NBA preseason approaches for the 20-year-old.

As for the Rams, the move to Los Angeles has gotten off to a great start. Jeff Fisher’s squad was able to get the best of the visiting Dallas Cowboys last week at the Coliseum and were able to do the same with the Chiefs on Saturday. Kansas City fell to the Rams in a close one, 21-20.

The Rams will now go on the road for the final two games of the NFL preseason against the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings. The team won’t be returning to the L.A. Coliseum until Week 2 of the upcoming regular season to face the division rival Seattle Seahawks and former USC head coach Pete Carroll.
