With rumors surrounding Love not signing an extension to remain in Minnesota and becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2015, numerous teams are expected to pursue him. According to Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher, Love would pick the Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockets if given the choice:

“Sources close to the situation tell me that Love if it’s a choice between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, would chose the Warriors.”

While the Timberwolves forward visited Boston, it seems that playing in California would be the ideal situation for Love. With the Warriors having numerous assets, Golden State is a realistic destination and would turn them into instant championship contenders.

Although the Timberwolves plan on keeping Love, they will have to eventually entertain offers. For a franchise that has failed to make the playoffs since Love’s arrival, losing him for nothing would set them back further.

For the Lakers, they are expected to make a “monster push” for Love using the seventh pick in this year’s draft. After the worst record in franchise history since moving to Los Angeles, the Lakers will explore all of their options as they try to become championship contenders once agian.
