Magic Johnson Talks About Partying With Jack Nicholson, Winning First Title

Magic Johnson 1980 Finals

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson enjoyed an illustrious career that ranks up there with the all-time greats to ever play in the NBA. Although Magic only played twelve seasons, he won five championships, including one his rookie year in the 1979-1980 season. Johnson helped ignite what would become known as the Showtime era as the undisputed leader of the Lakers and dominated for a decade.

The Hall of Famer was on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently and shared what it was like to win an NBA title, specifically his very first one. Magic also talked about partying with Lakers superfan Jack Nicholson back in the day:

Johnson also pointed out the big contributions from teammates like Jamaal Wilkes and Jim Chones. He emphasized the importance of having everyone, including role players, step up and embrace the pressure that comes along with playing at the highest level. Magic also described how he loved the pressure of that historic game 6 in which he played all five positions and scored 42 points, collected 15 rebounds, and dished seven assists to lead Los Angeles to the first of five championships.
