VIDEO: Jeremy Lin Discusses Why His Game Has Improved

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a season-long three-game winning streak in their 108-101 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday night.

Despite the loss, Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin had yet another impressive performance with a game-high 20 points, eight assists, and three steals, his fourth 20+ point game as a Laker. Lin has been a much more consistent player since the All-Star break, averaging a team best 17 points on 50.0 percent shooting in that span. He’s also led the team in scoring from the bench three times in that span, including Sunday night.

Lin said his progression after the All-Star break can be attributed to multiple factors.

Part of it is me trying to stay aggressive and get in a rhythm, get in a groove,” Lin said after the game. “The other part of it is, I’m being trusted with the ball and being given those opportunities, given the minutes and the spacing and the style of play.”

It’s likely Lakers head coach Byron Scott could alter the starting lineup over the next few games, and it’s possible that could include moving Lin back into the starting five. Scott has trusted Lin down the stretch in the past couple games and played him in the final minutes.

The Lakers head on the road for a three-game road trip this week as their first stop is Charlotte on Tuesday.
