The Los Angeles Lakers don’t have much as far as young talent goes, but the few they have are really starting to make their presence known. Jordan Clarkson has been excellent as a starter, and Tarik Black has also done well since finding himself back in the rotation.

Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been on the team’s bench the last couple of home games and has been seen helping out the Lakers young players. According to Bob Garcia of Sports Out West, head coach Byron Scott thinks Kobe is the perfect person to teach young players:

Of course Kobe teaching the young players means nothing if they aren’t receiving the information well. Scott also believes the Lakers young prospects are like ‘sponges’ when Kobe speaks to them via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation:

Kobe’s presence on the bench during Lakers home games can not be understated. He has been seen coaching Clarkson on the bench in each of the last two games and he has a wealth of knowledge that can help every player on the team.

By helping them out now, Kobe is setting these players up for success in the future. The Lakers only have a couple of young players who look like they can be important pieces in future years, and Kobe helping them out now will set those guys up to take the torch.
