15 minutes before game time, it was announced Lin would sit out with a sore left knee. However, the point guard will have an MRI on his knee tomorrow according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times:

After the Lakers failed to land Carmelo Anthony, the team traded for Jeremy Lin and Houston’s first round pick. While Lin started the season alongside Kobe Bryant, he was inconsistent and was eventually replaced in the starting lineup with Ronnie Price and Jordan Clarkson.

Since All-Star break, Lin has played at a high level and was recently re-inserted into the starting lineup alongside Clarkson. In 22 games, Lin is averaging 13.6 points and 4.6 assists in 26.5 minutes.
