Over the last couple of years, the notion of having a ‘Mount Rushmore’ listing your four favorite people in anything has become increasingly popular. With the NBA constantly arguing who the best players of all-time are, it makes sense that many players would come up with their own.

The latest to do so was Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant. The reigning MVP listed two Los Angeles Lakers legends on his Mount Rushmore while answering fan questions on his official Twitter page:

It is very hard to argue with Durant’s list as all four players are top-10 players of all-time to nearly any NBA fan. Durant’s age also shows in his selections as all of the players are more modern era guys and with Durant being born in 1988, these are the superstars he grew up watching or were still relevant when Durant was a child.

Magic Johnson is one of the most beloved players ever and nearly universally considered as the greatest point guard of all-time. Durant may have missed the best of Magic, but no one doubts his greatness.

Kobe remains one of the most polarizing players in the history of the NBA as many fans love Kobe and consider him amongst the greats while others consider him overrated and believe Kobe is arrogant.

Despite that, Kobe remains one of the most respected players today by his NBA brethren as many of the best players grew up watching Kobe and Durant putting him in this company is more proof of that.
