The Los Angeles Lakers get another shot at winning their first game of the season when they face off with the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center. The Nuggets are severely depleted, with Joffrey Lauvergne, Jusuf Nurkic, Nikola Jokic, and Wilson Chandler all out due to injury. Denver will still feature seventh overall pick, Emmanuel Mudiay, who will be motivated as the Lakers selected D’Angelo Russell over him. Kenneth Faried will also be an interesting matchup for the Lakers with his athleticism and strength going against that of Julius Randle.
