The San Antonio Spurs beat the Los Angeles Lakers 108-95 at Staples Center on the 10-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s historical 81-point game. The 37-year-old had a much different night on Friday, finishing with five points (2-9) and six assists in his 26 minutes, all while highlights of his extraordinary performance against the Raptors, echoed from the jumbotron in the arena.
After the game, Bryant smiles when talking about the old-timers Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, and especially the respect he has for head coach Gregg Popovich. Prior to the game, Popovich is also asked whether he’s ever thought about what it would’ve been like to coach Bryant.
Jordan Clarkson praises the Spurs ball movement and says that he hopes the Lakers young core can grow to resemble what the Spurs are able to produce on the court.
