The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action after having just over a week off for the All-Star break. Standing in their way is the formidable San Antonio Spurs, who will be looking to avenge the loss that they suffered last night at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak didn’t find a workable trade to make at the deadline, which means that the roster will stay intact for the final 27 games of the season. However, head coach Byron Scott has promised to shift more minutes to the young players, which is a crucial step as the team prepares for a hopefully brighter future. The young Lakers will certainly have their hands full with the Spurs, but it should be an excellent opportunity for growth.
