Lamar Odom Most Likely To Be Dealt

Although the Lakers did not make any major moves on draft day, Mike Bresnahan believes forward Lamar Odom will most likely be dealt.

Rumors about Odom getting shipped from the Lakers started at the beginning of the off-season, and the most well-known offer involved Odom going to Orlando. Many people want the Lakers acquire Dwight Howard from the Magic, and give up Odom and several other players as part of the deal.

The most recent trade possibility had the Lakers shipping Odom to Philadelphia with Luke Walton, and in return getting athletic forward Andre Iguodala. Then of course there are the rumors that have Odom being dealt to the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

Despite his vital role in the Lakers’ previous two championship teams and his stellar play as a role player, it seems as though the front office has decided to part ways with the 6-10 forward. Although the Lakers may get another star player if they deal Odom, his versatile skill-set is irreplaceable.

Odom can play any position on the court and if he is dealt to another team, the Lakers’ already lack-luster bench would become weaker. Lamar Odom has spent seven seasons with the Lakers, and in the 2010-11 season he won Sixth Man of the Year for his 14.4 ppg and 8.7 rpg.

With that being said, should Lamar Odom be traded or should the front office stick with the reigning Sixth Man? What’s your take Lakers Nation?
