During the summer, Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic signaled to the basketball world that the 2025-26 season would be one of vengeance as he spent the offseason working on his body and getting into the best shape of his life.

Doncic showed off his hard work during his Jordan Brand Tour this past summer, looking slimmer and leaner than ever before. Luka also appeared in Men’s Health Magazine and detailed his workout regimen and what he did to get ready for the upcoming season.

The Lakers have to be beyond pleased with how Doncic looks, especially after seeing him dominate play in EuroBasket 2025. Doncic hasn’t appeared in preseason yet, but the team is understandably trying to load manage him to ensure he’s fully ready to go for Opening Night.

While he was on his Jordan Brand Tour, Doncic made an appearance on First We Feast’s “Hot Ones” where he discussed a variety of topics and interests:

Along side host Sean Evans, Doncic tries several hot wings while answering questions about things like basketball, his foundation, the NBA versus Europe and his off-court interests. Doncic handles the lower spice levels well, even joking with Evans that he won’t need to drink any milk.

However, Doncic starts to literally sweat as the wings get hotter and he concedes to drinking water and milk to get through the session. At the end of the video, Doncic admits that his inner competitor came out when trying to push through eating the spicier wings and even turns down an offer of ice cream to prove he was serious.

Overall, Luka seemed to enjoy the experience and gave fans a closer look into his interests off the court. Outside of basketball, Doncic is an avid Overwatch player but also enjoys musicals and shows.

The press tour Doncic went on following his body transformation speaks to how motivated he is to prove to the NBA that he belongs in the conversation as the best player in the world. He showed the Lakers what his floor looks like, but the ceiling feels even higher considering where he is both physically and mentally.

LeBron James proud of Luka Doncic for body transformation

LeBron James understands better than anybody what it takes to be in shape year-round, something Luka Doncic would be wise to learn. James acknowledged the work Doncic did to transform his body and is proud of him for putting in the work.
