When JJ Redick was hired as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, he moved to build a coaching staff around him full of both veterans with prior head coaching experience as well as younger coaches, hungry for an opportunity to grow.

One of those who fit in the latter category is Lindsey Harding, who has been an important member of the Lakers’ staff for two seasons now. Prior to getting into coaching, Harding was the first overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft and enjoyed a 10-year career following an outstanding college career at Duke University, where she and Redick first crossed paths.

Now, Harding will also be stepping into the broadcasting lane as she was named as a studio analyst for Prime Video’s WNBA coverage starting this upcoming season.

Prime Video is sparing no expense in building out their WNBA coverage as Harding will be alongside some of the best and biggest women’s basketball stars of all-time, including the likes of Cynthia Cooper, Candace Parker, Swin Cash and Teresa Weatherspoon.

It is a great look for Harding and will give her the opportunity to show off her basketball IQ and analytical skills on a bigger stage. She has proven to be more than capable as a member of this Lakers coaching staff, but could get more eyes on her by being an analyst. This could potentially open up opportunities as a head coach in the women’s game if that is a path Harding is interested in traveling down.

And with the WNBA season happening during the NBA’s offseason, this shouldn’t hinder her from continuing her duties as a Lakers assistant. Surely, Prime Video will work with her and she will have no problem continuing to help the Lakers improve while building her overall profile and providing excellent analysis to WNBA fans around the world.

Luke Kennard explains why JJ Redick has been great

Harding and Redick aren’t the only former Duke players on the Lakers roster as Luke Kennard also spent two years there before entering the NBA in 2017.

Even though he has only been on the Lakers for a couple of months, he and Redick seem to have a great relationship, which has further been on display as of late with Kennard’s increased role. And the guard recently revealed why the partnership between the two has been excellent.
