The NBA recently released the full schedule for the 2026-27 schedule, including the entire national television schedule. The Los Angeles Lakers have once again received the maximum number of national TV games allowed by the NBA and their broadcasting partners, which is 34.
Some thought the Lakers might take a step back in their national coverage with LeBron James leaving to the Philadelphia 76ers, but that is not the case. The Lakers, 76ers, New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs are the teams that have all 34 allowable games.
The Lakers open their season on national TV with an ESPN game on the second night of the season against the Golden State Warriors. Three of their games against the Warriors this season are on primetime.
L.A. plays eight games on ESPN this season, including the Warriors for Opening Week and two matchups against both the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
They play ten games on Amazon Prime, including three in the first month of the season against the Warriors on Oct. 30, the Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 6 and the Spurs on Nov. 27.
The Lakers play the Houston Rockets on Nov. 30, the L.A. Clippers on Jan. 11 and the Phoenix Suns on Feb. 8, with all three games on Peacock.
They have five ABC games, which are considered to be among the biggest primetime spots. That includes the 76ers on Christmas Day, the Knicks, Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night matchups and one Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Mavericks on Luka Doncic’s birthday.
Finally, the Lakers play eight games on NBC, including one of their two matchups against the Boston Celtics, as well as Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat.
