Kobe Bryant To Start Tonight, Will Wear Protective Mask

Despite the reports that Kobe Bryant would be sidelined for tonight’s game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a concussion, we have now found out that he will in fact suit up for the game. Bryant passed all the tests and was cleared to play by the NBA’s concussion specialists.

In order to protect Kobe when he’s on the floor, the Lakers will have him wear a protective mask. Bryant has been openly against the face mask, but the team does not want to risk anything.

Kobe Bryant suffered the injury during the All-Star Game after Dwyane Wade fouled him on the way to the basket. Bryant will not be sidelined due to the concussion and there is no doubt he will be looking to get back at Wade when the Lakers play the Miami Heat on Sunday at Staples Center.
