After missing his first game of the season Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns, Kobe Bryant will miss his second consecutive game on Monday when the Lakers take on the Hornets in New Orleans.

According to Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times, Bryant will once again sit out in order to rest his sore left shin.

Kobe Bryant will not play tonight vs. New Orleans because of a sore left shin. Second game he’s missed with it.

Bryant sustained the injury 10 days ago, ironically when the Lakers played the Hornets. Bryant shot 3-21 in that game, but ended up hitting the game-winning three in the closing seconds.

The Lakers missed Bryant’s presence on Saturday, as they were embarrassed by the Suns. Bryant will be re-evaluated before the Lakers next game – Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.
