Today marks the 65th birthday of legendary NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. We here at Lakers Nation would like to wish ‘The Captain” a happy birthday!
Abdul-Jabbar has accomplish extraordinary feats during his time in the NBA including six NBA championships and six regular season MVPs.
Abdul-Jabbar was also selected to 19 NBA All-Star Games and is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer with a total of 38,387 points. He was known for his leadership on the court and his sheer dominance in the paint on both ends. The UCLA Bruin will forever be remembered for his sky hook, a shot that could not be stopped.
Abdul-Jabbar put his sights on the political field in 2012 and became a cultural ambassador for the USA.
