Lakers’ Steve Nash Parodies ‘The Shawshank Redemption’

Over the last few years, Ron Artest a.k.a Metta World Peace has been the most entertaining member of the Los Angeles Lakers with plenty of public appearances and off-the-court antics. Even though World Peace continues to entertain Lakers fans with his antics, two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash will give him a run for his money over the next three years.

Almost immediately after signing a three-year deal with the Lakers, Nash began showing his acting chops to the fans in Los Angeles on YouTube with movie parodies of The Godfather and Star Wars to name a few.

Nash’s newest parody is of The Shawshank Redemption on a roof in Los Angeles in a dog cage.

With Nash’s aspirations of breaking into the movie business after his basketball career, the future Hall of Famer is bound to keep these amusing videos coming. It’ll be just a matter of time before Nash and World Peace team up to do a movie parody or something crazy. Both Lakers stars have no problem getting in front of the camera with a great sense of humor that flourishes in the City of Angels.

Nash is definitely getting off on the right foot with Lakers fans before even playing a minute in purple and gold at the Staples Center. Even though Nash won’t be making crazy statements or losing control on the on the floor like World Peace, the perennial All-Star point guard will almost certainly keep fans entertained off-the-court much like his new teammate.
