The Lakers had a brief presentation to celebrate the life of the late Dr. Jerry Buss before the team played the Celtics on Wednesday night. The presentation consisted of a video being played on the jumbotron at Staples Center, highlighting the career achievements of Dr. Buss as the owner of the Lakers. Following the video presentation, Kobe Bryant had words in which he spoke endearingly of Dr. Buss.

A moment of silence was held after Bryant spoke, and then the Lakers home crowd paid tribute to Dr. Buss with cheers. Renowned as the greatest owner in sports, Dr. Buss leaves behind a legacy of winning as the Lakers won 10 championships under his ownership. One of the true legends and pioneers in branding the city of Los Angeles, Dr. Buss’ will never be forgotten for the contributions he made. His funeral will be held at the Nokia Center at LA LIVE  on Thursday at 3 p.m.
