Lakers News: Jordan Hill Tweets Injury Update; Announces Status

It’s been a long, trying season for the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ve dealt with injuries to nearly all their major players, and have had very little time to gel as a cohesive unit on the court. One of the underrated injuries the team dealt with this season was the one to Jordan Hill, who went down on January 6 with a hip injury. Hill underwent surgery and has been out ever since, rehabbing and hoping to return if the team was able to make a deep enough playoff run.

While the playoff run is yet to be seen, Hill announced on his Twitter account today that he will be back to running full speed and drills in just two more days.

What this means for Hill’s actual return time is obviously still up in the air, and expecting him to get back on the court before the season ends (which could be tomorrow depending on how the Lakers do against the Rockets) might be a tad unattainable. Regardless, hearing that Hill is making positive progress is an encouraging note for a team that has been beaten up over and over again by injuries this season.

Hill averaged 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 29 games played for the Lakers this season.
