Bucks Interview Lakers Assistant Steve Clifford for Head Coaching Job

Steve CliffordThe Milwaukee Bucks are in search of a new head coach and they are interested in Steve Clifford to fill the void.

Yahoo! Sports writes that the Bucks will interview Lakers assistant coach Steve Clifford about potentially becoming their next head coach. The Bucks have already contacted a couple Houston Rockets assistant coaches about the opening and have also interviewed Nate McMillan.

Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Steve Clifford is interviewing with the Milwaukee Bucks for their head-coaching job on Monday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Clifford is a much experienced assistant coach and is known for his defensive-minded mentality. Before joining the Lakers, Clifford worked under Stan Van Gundy in Orlando and was an important asset on the coaching staff.

The Lakers will also have a tough decision to make this off-season regarding its coaches. There has been a lot of scrutiny directed towards Mike D’Antoni and there will be some debate as to what to do with the first year coach.
