Phil JacksonThe NBA Playoffs are heading into the final stretch, and even though the Los Angeles Lakers are no longer in contention, they have still been dominating headlines.

Over the past week, the upcoming book of former Lakers coach Phil Jackson has created quite a bit of hype in Lakers Nation. Excerpts of the book have been released, and they have been filled with comparisons of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant among other things. The book is to be released on Tuesday and will be a must read for basketball fans.

Once again it was another busy week, and here is a Lakers Nation Week in Review:

Jeanie Buss said she would take Kobe Bryant over Michael Jordan.

Phil Jackson talked about the coaching hiring with Jay Leno. 

According to rumors, the Lakers are looking to acquire some draft picks in 2013.

Bryant’s parents say their son lied about the memorabilia claims.

Kobe Bryant was nominated for the ‘Social MVP’ award. 

Bryant is thinking about getting another tattoo.

Former assistant coach Eddie Jordan talks about the disappointing season. 

Jodie Meeks returned to college to get his degree.

The Bucks interviewed Steve Clifford for their head coaching position. 

Phil Jackson is not interested in the Toronto Raptors’ job offer.

Mark Madsen scored a coaching job in the NBA D-League.
