Lakers News: Kobe Bryant’s Achilles To Be Evaluated In A Few Weeks

Earlier this morning, Kobe Bryant sent out an instagram video of him running on an anti-gravity treadmill, which is a huge development in terms of him getting back on the court sooner rather than later. According to Dr. Robert Klapper, it appears that his rehabilitation is way ahead of schedule largely due to the fact that he had his surgery the day after the tear.

According to Kevin Ding, Bryant will be evaluated in a few weeks, and will learn just how far ahead of schedule he is.

It’s been discussed at naseum, but Bryant recently said that he’s shattering the time for a recovery from an Achilles rupture. He recently said that he’s not sure if he’ll be ready to play on opening night, but the fact that he’s running on an anti-gravity machine only four months after tearing his Achilles leaves room for the Lakers to remain optimistic that he can return relatively early in the season.

Until his Achilles is evaluated, there won’t be any definitive timetable for his return.
