It is well known that the late, great Dr. Jerry Buss was an avid poker player who frequented tournaments on the World Poker Tour. The World Series of Poker even dedicated a spot to Dr. Buss for its Main Event Tournament and invited Laker star Kobe Bryant to play in Buss’ place.

To pay homage to Dr. Buss, the WPT held the Frank Mariani-Jerry Buss-No Limit Hold ‘Em Tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles last Sunday. The tournament attracted 57 players and raised $7,800 for the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation.
Coming out on top was Steven Pulliam, who collected $8,200 for his victory.
