Kobe Bryant is one of the most recognizable basketball players on the planet. He has been able to market himself all around the world and has created a brand that will last long past his playing days.

According to hoopshype.com, Kobe Bryant ranks second amongst active players in commercial appearances in his career. With 42 commercials under his belt, Bryant only trails Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant is far ahead of Bryant with 67 commercials and given Durant has only been in the league for six years, it is an impressive feat.

Bryant’s most commercial appearances have been with Nike, although early on in his career he originally partnered with Adidas. Other commercials include Sprite, Turkish Airlines, and McDonalds.

Steve Nash is ranked fourth, and most of his appearances are with Vitamin Water. Nash is right behind Bryant with 36 commercials. Pau Gasol is 16th and most of his commercials are also with Nike, but he only has a total of 13 of them.

As a team the Lakers as a team rank second with 92 commercials, and they only trail the Miami Heat by one. Bryant is definitely the Lakers’ brightest star and will continue to make commercials after his career is over, but at this pace, it will be difficult for Bryant to overtake Durant for the top spot. Check out a few of Bryant’s commercials below.
