Former Los Angeles Lakers guard and GM, Jerry West, is taking it easy these days as a consultant for the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area. Despite taking a backseat from his usual GM duties to become a consultant, West remains active in more ways than one.
Recently, video leaked out of West showing kids some shooting fundamentals at the Warriors practice facility. West began shooting very close to the basket and then clearly liked the feel of draining shot after shot and stepped back near the free throw line.
After draining every shot close to the basket, West stepped back and continued to light it up. Every shot put up by West went down. In fact, once he got going, West got into a rhythm and got back to his old ways, but the best part of this shooting display was the fact that West said he hadn’t shot around in years — until putting on a show of how to get it done.
