Today marks one of, if not the biggest day in sports as the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks get set to square off in Super Bowl XLVIII. The matchup is one of the most anticipated in recent memory as the Broncos top-rated offense faces the Seahawks top-rated defense.

There is no doubt that almost everyone will be watching the game tonight, including Lakers players and coaches. The question is: who are they rooting for?

Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters took time to ask the guys who they would be pulling for in the big game tonight. There are some guys who don’t care and will just be watching the game for fun, such as Manny Harris and Pau Gasol.

Other than those guys, the team is relatively split on their alliances. Both Wesley Johnson and Jordan Hill are pulling for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Also pulling for the Broncos is huge Peyton Manning fan Jodie Meeks. Meeks grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, around the same time Manning was starring at the University of Tennessee.

On the other side is noted Seahawks fan Steve Nash. In addition, there seems to be a little Pac-12 alliance as Jordan Farmar, Nick Young, and assistant Mark Madsen are all pulling for the Seahawks.

Madsen starred at Stanford, which also hosted star cornerback Richard Sherman. Farmar was a star at UCLA, while Nick Young played at USC, which is the same place that Seahawks coach Pete Carroll rose to prominence.

Needless to say there is sure to be a lot of trash talking between teammates at the Lakers Super Bowl party this year.
