NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers Interested In Metta World Peace

It has been a rough couple of years for the man formerly known as Ron Artest. After battling through a forgettable season alongside Dwight Howard in Los Angeles, the Lakers chose to amnesty the fan favorite, making him a free agent.

Unfortunately, Metta World Peace’s next destination didn’t work out much better. World Peace has been waived by the New York Knicks according to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report:

Although his short stint back in New York has come to an end prematurely, it might not be long before the one-time NBA champion finds a new team. According to USA Today’s Sam Amick, the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in signing World Peace:

The Clippers have been infamous for signing former Lakers over the past few years and this season is no different. The team added Matt Barnes and Lamar Odom last season, and signed Antawn Jamison before the start of this season.

The Clippers recently signed Glen Davis to a contract, so the addition of World Peace, along with Davis, would really help bolster their frontcourt depth.
