Pre-Game Report: Lakers vs. Warriors

The Lakers faced off with the Golden State Warriors last night at the San Diego Sport Arena in San Diego, California.  Even though neither Kobe Bryant nor Phil Jackson showed up to the game, the Lakers routed 120-99.   Pau Gasol led the way with 23 points and seven rebounds, and the team played an overall great game without their star.

Tonight the Lakers will play the Warriors once again, and this time in Citizens Business Back Arena, Ontario, CA.  It is unlikely that Jackson will show up, but Bryant is expected play in tonight’s game.  This leaves Brian Shaw in charge of the bench, while Gasol will most likely have to carry the load on the court.

Bryant may not be very effective for the Laker tonight, as his knee is still not 100%.  The team’s reserve guards Shannon Brown and Steve Blake have to step up in tonight’s game if the Lakers want to win.

Even with Jackson most likely out and Kobe still recovering from an injury, the Lakers will have no problem handling the Warriors.

The Lakers blew out the Warriors yesterday, and expect the same result today.
