Andrew Bynum Suffers Sprained Ankle vs. Warriors

During the first quarter of Sunday night’s game between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, center Andrew Bynum suffered a sprained ankle.

The injury occurred when Bynum came down on forward Josh McRoberts’ foot while attempting to secure a rebound late in the first. Bynum immediately signaled to the bench that a substitute was needed, and was taken back to the locker room.

Initial reports from the locker room indicated that Bynum suffered a sprained left ankle, although X-rays were negative. Bynum was ruled out for the rest of the game against Golden State, and will be re-evaluated on Monday.
