Andrew Bynum Talks Playoffs: “I’m Ready For Everything”

On Sunday afternoon at the Staples Center the Los Angeles Lakers begin their road to redemption. One player in particular that is looking to overcome last season’s playoff demons is Andrew Bynum.

Bynum, who watched the end of last year’s Game 4 beating at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks from the locker room (and spent the first four games of this season serving a suspension because of it), is anxious to get back on the floor and get things started on Sunday.

“We’re well aware we need to come out and make a statement in the first game,” Bynum said to O.C. Register reporter Kevin Ding.

The blossoming center also mentioned his health heading into the post-season, and commented that he felt as good as ever before entering the playoffs.

There’s no doubt that the Lakers will need his contributions during the playoffs this season. His production will be especially crucial in the first round since the team will be without the suspended Metta World Peace.

Bynum had one other notable quote before heading home from practice, Saturday.

“Season’s over. It’s the post-season. I’m ready for everything.”

Perfect.
