On Tuesday night, the Lakers recorded their only win of the week. They were at Staples Center playing against the Pelicans for the second time in less than a week and won in blowout fashion with a 116-95 victory. The win, however, wasn’t what Lakers fans were talking about that night as Xavier Henry threw down what is easily the dunk of the year in this young NBA season.
Henry received the ball at the top of the key, faked a pass to the wing and saw the lane open up with no one between him and the rim — except for ex-teammate Jeff Withey. Henry didn’t let Withey deter him from throwing down a nasty dunk, and Withey ended up on the wrong end of the p0ster with the crowd at Staples erupting as Henry dropped the hammer on Withey.
