According to Kevin Ding of the O.C. Register, Los Angeles guard Kobe Bryant will sit out Saturday night when the Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns, due to an injured shin.

Kobe will not play tonight due tenosynovitis of the left shin. He will be re-evaluated on Monday in New Orleans.

With Kobe sitting out, reserve guard Devin Ebanks will start in his place.

Little-used Devin Ebanks will start in Kobe’s place at Phoenix. It is Kobe’s first game missed this season.

Bryant has had trouble with his shin over the last few games, and was even limping at times during the Lakers’ loss to the Houston Rockets last night.

This is Bryant’s first missed game of the season.
