Kobe Bryant Talks About Lamar Odom, Provides Update

When the news of Lamar Odom being found unconscious broke two weeks ago, the entire basketball world was saddened, but it is likely that very few were hit as hard as Kobe Bryant.

Kobe was very close with Odom while the two were teammates and he had remained in contact with Odom even after he was no longer a Laker.

Kobe reportedly visited Odom in the hospital while in Las Vegas, but hadn’t spoken to the media about it since. After practice on Tuesday, Bryant spoke about the ordeal putting things into perspective via Lakers Reporter Mike Trudell:

Bryant also offered an update on Odom saying that he is doing well now via Trudell:

The news on Odom from Kobe is certainly encouraging as Odom was fighting for his life. Now that he has pulled through and seems to be doing better, it is a weight lifted off the shoulders of all of his friends and family.

Kobe has always spoken extremely highly of Odom and he was one of Kobe’s favorite teammates in his entire career. Kobe’s close relationship with Odom has been on full display throughout this entire ordeal and it is great to see him strongly support his friend.
