The Los Angeles Lakers announced a full slate of promotional nights and special recognitions for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
With Lon Rosen taking over a president of business operations, the Lakers have attempted to model their organization after the L.A. Dodgers, even though Mark Walter is now selling the team to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner. With that being the case, the Lakers have expanded their promotional schedule to include more bobbleheads and other cool items the Dodgers have typically given away over the years.
Included in that is the Lakers celebrating superstar Luka Doncic as the 2025-26 NBA Scoring Champion on Nov. 1 against the Toronto Raptors with a special bobblehead giveaway for fans in attendance.
Doncic’s co-star Austin Reaves will also be featured with a bobblehead giveaway for the game on Dec. 27 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Reaves, of course, had his breakout postseason performance against the Grizzlies in 2023 and now will take over as the Lakers’ second star alongside Doncic after the departure of James.
One of the coolest giveaways will be a replica 2020 championship ring, which will take place on Jan. 24 when Anthony Davis and the Washington Wizards come to town.
Throughout the 2026-27 season, the Lakers will also honor legends as part of the team’s new League of Stars program Presented by BMO. In its inaugural year, the Lakers will honor Norm Nixon on Dec. 14, Paul Westhead on Jan. 14 and Kurt Rambis on March 17. Fans in attendance will receive a unique throwback bobblehead of the honoree celebrating the nostalgia and longevity of the Lakers legacy.
Some other promotional nights throughout the 2026-27 season include a Lakers x Dodgers baseball-style jersey giveaway, a 2020 Championship ring replica giveaway and the first-ever Lakers Hello Kitty night.
And finally, on April 9, the Lakers will give away a Phil Jackson bobblehead for their game against the Minnesota, Timberwolves, following the statue unveiling on Star Plaza outside Crypto.com Arena.
