Lakers, Heat Game Sets Television Record

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat game on Mar. 4 drew in record television ratings for the NBA and ABC. The Kobe Bryant and LeBron James showcase resulted in a Lakers, 93-83, win and was entertaining throughout.

In fact, the Lakers, Heat game was the most-watched non-Christmas Day regular season NBA game on ABC.

Sunday’s game was viewed by more than seven million people. The previous record holder for ABC’s highest-rated non-Christmas regular-season game was the Celtics-Lakers match-up last year with a 4.3.
