Lakers Nation Interview: Getting To Know Ronnie Price (VIDEO)

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Ronnie Price has become quite the popular name when discussing training camp standouts with Kobe Bryant and Byron Scott over the past week and a half. Even after just Day 1 of training camp, Bryant singled out Price as a player who looked great and was in phenomenal shape, while bringing up all the problems Price caused for the Lakers while he was with the Utah Jazz.

Scott was equally impressed, having this to say about him during Week 1:

Ronnie Price has been the one guy that I could look at and say, ‘Wow, this guy has really got my attention,’” Lakers coach Byron Scott said at practice. “Offensively, he just understands what we’re doing. He plays within that box, which means he plays within himself. He doesn’t try to do anything he’s not capable of doing. And defensively he’s a little bit of a pit bull.”

Lakers fans may know Price as the guy who came up with a huge block on Luke Walton in Game 4 of the 2008 NBA playoffs during the Jazz series against the Lakers. Price played for the Utah Jazz from 2007-2011 after his two years with the Sacramento Kings. Price then had stints with the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trailblazers before signing his non-guaranteed contact with the Lakers this off-season.

What else is there to know about Price? Price chats with Lakers Nation about which point guard he grew up idolizing. Plus, what are Price’s thoughts about wearing the purple and gold after being knocked out of the playoffs by the Lakers three times in a row while he was with the Jazz? And, what does he have to say now about that little ‘I hate the Lakers’ comment several years back?

It’s all in our Lakers Nation video above.
