Lakers Nation Reacts: Where Will Dwight Howard Sign?

Kobe Bryant, Dwight HowardFree Agent center Dwight Howard has heard every team’s pitch and has now decided to leave Los Angeles and head to Colorado to clear his mind and think of his next move.

Howard has met with five teams; the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and of course the Los Angeles Lakers. Every team has pitched to Howard what he will get if he decides to join them next season and now they are relaxing until what has been rumored to be Friday, when Howard is expecting to announce his decision.

So who will Dwight Howard sign with? Will he sign with long-shot Atlanta Hawks and return home, will he join Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, will he sign with the front-runner Houston Rockets and team up with James Harden, or will he return to the Lakers and become the face of the franchise?

In our poll the Lakers were polled at 80 percent, the Rockets finished with 14 percent of the votes, the Golden State Warriors received four percent of the votes and the Dallas Mavericks received the last two percent.

The results are a little shocking to say the least. The Rockets entered the free agency period as the front-runner to land Dwight Howard, and the Mavericks came in at a close second, but some recent reports have led Laker fans to believe that there is an outside chance that Howard is seriously considering returning to the Lakers and possibly leave the Texas teams behind.

Howard is not officially allowed to sign his contract until July 10, so there is a possibility that he may take as much time as he needs to make his career altering decision.
