Lakers Nation Week in Review: Mar. 3 – Mar. 10

The Los Angeles Lakers opened the week with an impressive win over the Miami Heat on Sunday, but those great feelings came crashing down when they lost two consecutive games against sub-par teams. The Lakers lost two games despite holding double-digit one to the Detroit Pistons and another to the Washington Wizards.

The team did bounce back by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves, but it seems as though some change will occur in Los Angeles. With the NBA trading deadline approaching, let’s get caught up with the news of the week.

Game Recaps

The Los Angeles Lakers had their much anticipated rematch against the Miami Heat and this time, the Lakers took care of business in front of their home crowd at Staples Center. Metta World Peace played tremendously well and guided the Lakers to a 93-83 win.

The Lakers headed to the nation’s capital for their only trip of the season and once again let a double-digit lead slip away. The Lakers were once up by 21 points but let their guard down and lost, 106-101.

Los Angeles ended it slid in Minnesota when it took care of business against the Wolves. This time the Lakers were the ones who came back from a double-digit and won 105-102.
