Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak had various interviews regarding this year’s draft and the team’s immediate future. He mentioned remaining open to trading their draft pick for a good offer, but is also looking for a mid-to-late first round pick.

Also, Kupchak discussed the direction of the franchise and how they plan on moving forward with their coaching search after they find out what pick they receive on May 20. However, Kupchak made it known that Kobe Bryant won’t weigh in on the next coach despite the five-time champion hoping the team does ask for his input.
