Lakers News: Austin Reaves Debuts Rigorer AR1 Signature Shoe in ‘Showtime’ Colorway With KICKS CREW
NBA Star Austin Reaves Debuts Rigorer AR1 Signature Shoe in “Showtime” Colorway in Partnership with Global Marketplace KICKS CREW

Coming off a breakout postseason with the Los Angeles Lakers, Austin Reaves had a very eventful offseason in which he signed a new max contract, played for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup and released his first signature shoe with the Chinese sportswear brand Rigorer.

Now, Reaves and Rigorer have announced the lauched on a new “Showtime” colorway of the AR1 shoes that will be released on Oct. 28.

The new “Showtime” colorway will be priced at $100 and released exclusively on KICKS CREW this Saturday. Reaves first debuted this new colorway at Sneaker Con Los Angeles with KICKS CREW for an exclusive in-person launch for attendees.

Reaves signed with Rigorer in June and has already debuted two colorways, which instantly sold out upon their releases. This new “Showtime” colorway features a Lakers-inspired colorway, combining the iconic purple and gold on a black base. It’s a vibrant tribute to the Lakers’ Showtime legacy, reflecting the team’s triumphs and Reaves’ goal of returning them to that glory.

“This summer has just been absolutely surreal for me. Everything has been amazing, from signing long-term with the Lakers to playing in the FIBA World Cup and my shoes selling out in minutes,” Reaves said. “But now my focus is strictly on the Lakers and making sure I do whatever I can to bring that championship trophy back to Los Angeles, and this shoe is a reflection of that goal and my journey with the organization.”

To celebrate the launch of the AR1 “Showtime,” Rigorer and Reaves partnered with KICKS CREW to be the exclusive global launch partner, leveraging the platform’s reputation for offering a borderless shopping experience to consumers worldwide.

“The KICKS CREW team has been thrilled with the success we have seen with our partnership with Austin Reaves and Rigorer and are looking forward to continuing to build on this relationship,” said KICKS CREW cofounder Ross Adrian Yip when reflecting on his partnership with Austin Reaves and Rigorer.

The Rigorer AR1 “Showtime” will be released at 8 a.m. PT on Saturday exclusively on KICKSCREW.COM and RIGORER.COM. Fans can sign up on the KICKS CREW AR1 event page for a chance to win one of five free pairs.

Reaves using haters as fuel this season

After signing his new contract with the Lakers, Reaves was on the receiving end of some criticism as many didn’t feel he was worth that much. He is using those comments as fuel, however, to prove that he is worth it and can develop into a crucial piece for the Lakers on a championship team.
