After numerous years, the 2015-16 Los Angeles Lakers made their return to Hawaii for training camp. In the past week, numerous players have talked about how challenging head coach Byron Scott’s training camps are. Following the loss to the Utah Jazz in their first preseason game, it was evident the Lakers had tired legs after a week two-a-day practices.

With the Lakers playing one more game in Hawaii before returning to Los Angeles, Scott was asked about tired legs during preseason. According to Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell, Scott believes his training camp will pay off during the regular season:

After losing numerous players to injuries this past season, there are concerns about the demanding workload during training camp. While Kobe Bryant (shoulder) and Julius Randle (leg) have returned from their season-ending injuries, the Lakers need everyone relatively healthy to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Heading into the new season, this year’s Lakers seemed determined and are working on building chemistry. With the season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves quickly approaching, it will be interesting to see how quickly this team can come together.
