Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul underwent his first full practice for the first time since he injured his hamstring during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Paul has been sidelined for the past five games with the injury, but he could make his return to the lineup when his Clippers once again play the Lakers on Wednesday, Arash Markazi of ESPNLA.com reports.

“Hopefully Chris can give us a few minutes tomorrow,” Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said. “We’ll revaluate him tomorrow after shootaround and see how he warms up before the game. He practiced today and he looked better, but it’s a gradual thing with the hamstring.”

Paul has been working hard to get back on the floor, but he will leave the decision to his medical and coaching staff. If it were up to Paul, he would have played in all five of the games, but the Clippers understand that the compressed schedule will not help the injury heal.

The Lakers should prepare to defend Chris Paul on Wednesday and he can be deadly even while fighting an injury. The Lakers’ guards will have their hands fulls when Paul enters the arena and will need a complete effort to beat the cross-town rivals.
