Lakers News: Dwight Howard Ejected In Second Half Of Game 4

Dwight HowardAs if the Lakers didn’t have depth issues coming into Game 4 against the Spurs, center Dwight Howard was ejected from the game after picking up his second technical foul.

Howard was upset that a foul wasn’t called Aron Baynes and complained to the officials for a few seconds. He was then assessed his second technical foul and general manager Mitch Kupchak gave him a pat on the back on his way to the locker room.

Without Kobe Bryant, Metta World Peace, Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks, the Lakers trailed 52-34 at halftime. Howard had seven points and eight rebounds in just 20 minutes in what might be his final game as a Laker.

The moment was reminiscent of former Lakers center Andrew Bynum getting ejected in 2011 against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals. If that was Howard’s last moment in a Lakers jersey, his brief stint in Los Angeles will be deemed a complete failure.
