Lakers News: Kobe Tweets Ankle Feeling Better, Will Practice Thurs.

After a day off yesterday, the Lakers took to the practice court today and the biggest question was how is Kobe Bryant’s ankle? Bryant missed the Lakers’ last game against Phoenix and was limited to only 12 minutes against Indiana.

Bryant took to Twitter today to update his fans about his ankle. Here is his reply to one of his followers;

The Lakers will practice tomorrow, presumably with Bryant and Pau Gasol. Heading into their game against the Wizards, Bryant would have had a week off to rest his ailing ankle. After tweeting out pictures of his ankle and that he was receiving round the clock therapy, Mike D’Antoni expects Bryant to play on Friday.

The fact that Bryant wasn’t able to play shows how severe the ankle injury is. However, with the amount of minutes he’s played this season, this could be a blessing in disguise for Bryant and the Lakers. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they don’t have any choice but to try and rush Bryant back since they dug themselves such a large early season hole.

Bryant is averaging 27.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists this season.
