Lakers News: Kobe Wants To Be Informed Of Any Trade Deadline Deal

With the NBA trade deadline approaching this Thursday, there are sure to be a number of trade rumors circulating about which players may move to a new home.

The Lakers have been the subject of a number of trade rumors this season. Most recently, talks with the Phoenix Suns centered around Pau Gasol are expected to pick back up this week.

Kobe Bryant has dedicated his entire career to the Lakers organization. With the deadline here, the OC Register’s Janis Carr reports that Bryant has just one demand from the team:

This is a reasonable demand from a player in Bryant’s situation. He is the face of this team and should at least have an idea of any changes coming to the team.

Making it more difficult is the fact that any move the Lakers make will almost definitely include Bryant’s close friend Pau Gasol.

Bryant has talked on numerous occasions about keeping Gasol in Los Angeles, and moving him at all would not make Bryant happy. But Bryant finding out about it by watching ESPN would make things far worse.

With three days left until the trade deadline, the Lakers will be a team to watch.
