The Los Angeles Lakers were well represented at Dodger Stadium on Monday night by Metta World Peace and the Laker Girls. It was Lakers Night in Los Angeles, and fans that bought a ticket package were given co-branded Lakers and Dodgers hats.

The new head coach of the Lakers, Luke Walton, recently threw the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium, but World Peace had the honor of representing the purple and gold on Monday night.

Metta threw the ball on target, but it landed just in front of home plate. Nick Young has done much worse in the past, as he has thrown arguably the worst first pitch in history.

World Peace is currently a free agent, and it remains to be seen if he will still play in the NBA next season. He has made it clear that he wants to continue to play, but he may be more valuable as a player development coach for the Lakers.

The Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-4 courtesy of a high-octane offense and two home runs from Rookie of the Year candidate Corey Seager.
