Lakers Rumors: Jodie Meeks Deciding Between Lakers and Two Others

The Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy this summer, and for the most part, they have been able to land the free-agents they have targeted. The front-office is aiming to strengthen the bench and so far has made some nice strides in that direction.

Jodie Meeks has been a player the Lakers have expressed interest in and it seems as though the free-agent guard has the Lakers as one of his top teams. According to a report from Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com, Meeks is deciding between three teams at this point, the Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards.

“I’ve gotten interest from the Lakers, Bucks and Wizards,” Meeks told HOOPSWORLD. “There are five or six teams, but those three are at the forefront right now because I’ve been talking to them the most. I really like those teams and I like what they bring to the table. I’m looking forward to signing, whenever that may be.”

Meeks would be a great addition to the Lakers as he is a player who can stretch the floor with his three-point shooting ability. Along with Los Angeles’ struggles off the bench, the team was also lacking perimeter shooters. With a very talented starting five and two dynamic seven footers, Meeks will get a lot of open shots if the signs with the Lakers.

Meeks has spent three seasons in the NBA and has averaged 37 percent from the three-point line and 88 percent at the free throw line.
