In an article from Yahoo! it was determined that the most expensive tickets in the NBA belong to the two favorites in each conference, the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. For the secondary market, meaning purchasing tickets from a third party, i.e. StubHub or private seller, both the Heat and Lakers are the most expensive games to see.
It really shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, as these are the two most polarizing teams in the league. For the top five most expensive games there is only one that doesn’t involve the Lakers, and that is when the Heat take on the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics.
So what’s the most expensive game you ask? Something tells me if you think really hard about it you shouldn’t have too much trouble coming up with the solution. I’ll give you a hint, it’s slightly more expensive than a lump of coal in your stocking.
